Learning about Chinese history depresses me.

And we haven't even gotten past the 1910s yet.

The world is fucked up. Depressing history makes me think it's always been fucked up. And if it's always been fucked up, what's to say that it won't always be fucked up?

LONG ANSWER:
And phwar, of course it's always going to be fucked up. That's one of the great things about this planet. Things would be pretty darn boring if everything ran smoothly all of the time, and everything was nice and warm and pretty bunnies. But we can all learn to appreciate the fucked-up-ness, and also the lack of fucked-up-ness where the fucked-up-ness used to be but is now no more. ^___^ And you can also make a big difference, as stated above. It's allll how we perceive things. And can also change them.
