Gah, my mum is making me so stressed out. She asks me EVERY SINGLE DAY if any more jobs have come up. I haven't really been looking the last week or so because I just needed to take a break from it all, but everytime she asks I feel guilty and anxious and stressed. And just then she came into my room and freaked out about me not looking for a job and went on about how I could miss opportunities and I know she's right, but I really want to just forget about it all for a while.

So I'm reading Twilight. It's... amusing. I have no other words for it.

My WoW subscription ends in a couple of days so I'll have to end my hermitage briefly to go out and buy another gamecard. I've been a little apathetic about playing WoW recently, though. I've been in one of those moods where I just want to avoid everyone and everything.

Tomorrow, two of dads relatives are coming over from China and they're going to be staying at our house for three months. Three months. I'm going to go insane. *sigh*

Apply for jobs far away from home. And leave. :D

Ughh.. and we all know how much you love your dad's friends.

You're totally justified in having a rest. Sure you need a job eventually, but there's no need for her to push you so much, the world will always need teachers! Srsly, have a holiday - at my house. Heh.

Haha, as I was reading the line about the end of your hermitage, I thought, "Ooh, what new, exciting thing are you going to do?" but no, it was just the momentous pilgrimage to a game shop. My inner geek is so proud.

No, no. Not friends. Relatives. Specifically his big sister. Which is like 1000000 times worse because he gets all obsessed with being the perfect host with the perfect house and the perfect family because all of that shows that he's a good father/husband/man/upholder of patriarchy. UGH.

A holiday at your house sounds awesome. The next three months sound like a perfect time for me to take an extended holiday. :P Actually, I've seen a couple of UK jobs advertised that are in Kent. They haven't been for English/Humanities though.

My inner geek salutes your inner geek. :P

Oh my God, Twilight. Sarah and I tried to read it- we managed to get through most of the book by mocking it without mercy, but we got up to the bit where Edward is sparkling in the field, and we were like, "... I can't do this shit any more." I might have told you and Ephie that anecdote when I was in Melbourne, but I didn't tell you guys that just recently, in my last Creative Writing tutorial of the semester, this one girl said she'd found a book so bad she needed to have a mammoth bitch about it- and pulled out a copy of Twilight. Me, her and this other guy ripped the book to shreds while the rest of the class listened in slightly incredulous silence, it was great. XD

I'm sorry that things are getting you down. *hugs* I think you could do with a bit of spoiling, so my advice is to go out and get that gamecard, or something else that'll make you happy.

Lol that sparkling in a field scene is hilarious. I'm glad that there were some sane people in your Creative Writing tutorial. I managed to get through the whole book without too much trauma. I'm interested in seeing what the movie will do with it, but nothing in hell could get me to read the other books in the series.
