Holidays for a week

I hate it when this happens. While I'm procrastinating about, say, writing an essay, I want to do everything BUT write the essay. I want to read fan fiction, watch Xena reruns, play every single one of my numerous video games, play with my sister, paint, exercise, dance, sleep... anything.
But after I finish the essay...
Nothing. I don't feel like doing anything. (Except write pointless LJ entries, apparently.)
Blah.
Random fact of the day: The year that the 800 year long Spanish Reconquista ended with the defeat of the last Muslim state in the Iberian Peninsula (Granada) - 1492 - was the same year that Christopher Columbus set sail for the new world. Ahh, gotta love Expansionist-Imperial Europe - always looking for new peoples to conquer and subjugate.
