lishesquex: (voyager - only slightly lost)

At the train station on the way to uni today there were these two girls and their boyfriends.  The girls were both wearing ugg boots and really short shorts.  One of the girls was totally crazy and kept screaming at our platform (they were on the opposite platform) to give them pizza.  'Cos someone on our platform had pizza.  And then the crazy girl in ugg boots jumped off the platform, ran across the tracks, climbed up onto our platform and started screaming at the person with pizza to give her their pizza.  But then the train pulled up and the person with the pizza quickly boarded the train to get away.  It was a very bizarre and disturbing episode.

I finally finished my Beowulf essay.  Only 2 more essays to write and then I'm done for the year.

Earlier tonight, I spent 20 minutes walking around the city listening to 9 Crimes by Damien Rice, and the world felt quiet.  I tried to write on the train home, but suddenly Vikings seemed like the most unimportant topic in the world, and I couldn't.

Then I came home and I didn't know what to do with myself.  So I printed out the application for Graduate Access Melbourne or whatever.  Cross your fingers that I get $5000 next year.  Next year scares me, but tomorrow scares me even more.

Tomorrow is a public holiday, so Rianna will be home.  I think I'll take her to the cinemas.  We still need to watch Resident Evil 3.  I shall splurge and buy us lots of popcorn and unhealthy food to eat while watching zombies take over the world.

Last night, I went to bed with a tightness in my chest and stomach, and a chill dark dread. Each time I awoke only heightened that horrible feeling, until, it was morning again and I was afraid to face the day and the potential emptiness of it. And then I checked LJ and was downright terrified at what I thought I would have to do. I lay in bed for two hours wondering how to cut away a piece of my heart and walk away from the only bright spot in my life. But then... my screen flashed. And suddenly things were okay again.

Thank God.

There aren't many days when I type God with a capital G.  But today is one of them.

Today has been good. I went for a run and didn't listen to emo music for once. Then Rianna and I drove to Glen Waverley and we watched Resident Evil 3, which I had had doubts about, but which I ended up totally loving. Milla Jovovich is so hot. And they brought back that red dress and those boots from the first movie! I was like awww *nostalgia*. And then I decided to go clothes shopping. This is seriously a once in a blue moon thing - me, deciding to go clothes shopping. Like whoa. I even bought something from Supré. Granted it was a sleeveless hooded black top that said BITCH across the front, and it belonged more in Hot Topic than Supré. But still. I am so ashamed. Especially of the pink Supré bag that they gave me with it. I made Rianna hold it the whole day. So, I spent like $130 on clothes today. Mostly on out of date winter clothes. :D The spring fashion this year sucks monkey ass. Who thought up those colour combinations? I mean, srsly!

Ooh, another fun thing that happened. I saw lesbians! I was walking out of Sportsgirl and saw these two girls who Totally Looked Gay walking in, and they were holding a shopping bag between them, kinda half holding hands, and half holding the bag. I was like awww. <3 I hadn't randomly seen a lesbian couple since Boston, so that was really cool.

After much shopping, we stopped at Wendy's and got ourselves smoothies. Then we walked back to the car in the sunshine sipping our smoothies and every two minutes or so I would say something like "God, I'm so relieved," or "damn, I love that bit where she roasts all the crows".

Driving home, I felt happy. The sun was shining, the music was blasting, I had new clothes, and the third Resident Evil movie didn't turn out to be suxx0r. And most importantly, I still have my friend. :-)
