realfootball4u: Are you exclusively gay or do you date guys aswell
Why yes, my profile lists me as GAY, but actually... I totally date men! BRING THE MEN ON.

Today I went with my house group of Year 9s to Urban Seed, which is a church/welfare group in the city that helps homeless and drug addicted people. It was based in the Baptist church on Collins St. First time I've set foot in a church for over 13 years. *heathen* It was a really good experience for the kids, and a real eye-opener because of the juxtaposition of the wealth and prestige of the Collins Street shops (Gucci, Louis Vuitton etc) with the starkly different environment you enter once you turn the corner into Baptist Lane. The laneway is kind of a dead end, but serves as the carpark to the church. There are graffiti murals, a syringe disposal bin, a tap for water, and yellow lights. Kind of a safe haven for drug addicts. You'd never know it was there, unless someone showed you.
Tomorrow is the last day of Year 9 City Experience. It's been a really good week. I caught up with Xin for 10 minutes on Tuesday, and had a rather rushed lunch with Jeanette in Southbank yesterday. I've realised that I really miss coming into the city. I never really took advantage of it much when I was going to uni, but now that I'm stuck in the suburbs all the time, I miss the diversity and vibrance of the city. YVG is so homogenous. Next week it's back to being stuck in Ringwood all day, every day, but... oh well. I'm halfway through the term. Must think of that.
