Comment to this post, and I will list seven things I want you to talk about. They might make sense or they might be totally random.
Then post that list, with your commentary, to your journal. Other people can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.
Meme from
lysachan who gave me the following questions:
1) Why teaching?
A whole bunch of reasons including: I didn't know what else to do; it was a good career choice after a history/linguistics major; it's a stable career; it allows the possibility of working overseas/travel; I love expounding on history and linguistics so why not get paid for it?; and I had a crush on my Year 12 English teacher around the time I was making university/career decisions. But lately my mum's been telling me about her side of the family because she's been reading 'Wo Men San' (We Three), which is a memoir written by my great aunt who happens to be a famous Chinese playwright and author. Turns out there are about 7 or 8 different family members who all turned out to be teachers or professors of some sort, just on that branch of my family tree. So... I guess it must have just been in my genes.
2) Have you seen any movies more than five times? Which one(s)?
Hmm, I think I've probably seen Love Actually more than five times, just because I tend to watch it around Christmas time as a tradition. D.E.B.S and Imagine Me & You, I might have seen five times, but not more than five. I'm not good at rewatching things multiple times, unless they're Xena episodes. :-D
3) What is the most important quality you look for in your future significant other?
A blend of optimism, fearlessness and passion. Someone who can spark a wild joy in me, who inspires me, who can make me laugh.
4) If you could speak one language fluently (one that you don't already), what would it be and why?
Probably Mandarin actually. I speak it, but not fluently. And I can't really read it. I'd like to be able to read books written in Chinese so I can better access that part of my culture.
5) What is your favourite PC game of all time?
ZOMG Y U DO THIS TO ME. Such a hard quesiton. O.O
Oh god, so many possible answers. Diablo II, Baldur's Gate II, Dragon Age: Origins, Skyrim...
I'm gonna go with Sims 2 just because it's a game I always go back to that has endless replay value because of all the stuff you can import and make. I has a NCC Voyager and a Starfleet Academy sitting in the middle of one of my neighbours alongside my Xena/Gabby family and uh... *coughGroHammersenglivingwithmecough*
6) How would you describe your childhood?
Lonely. But not too bad.
7) What was your first job (that you got paid for)?
I got paid to help out (read: be the only waitress) at dad's wee Japanese restaurant when I was 14. $20 a night, plus occasional tips.
Then post that list, with your commentary, to your journal. Other people can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.
