Which is likely what will happen if I keep writing LJ entries instead of writing this godforsaken essay from hell.
Why did duels, jousts and tournaments disappear during the 1400-1900s? HELL IF I KNOW (actually I do, but I don't want to write 10 pages about it). I'm so tempted to write that they didn't! THEY LIVE ON in the form of duelling and PVP in games like World of Warcraft, where crazy people like me can strip with my guildies and duel naked in the snow outside Ironforge. I wish I'd taken a screencap. I even had a dream the next day in which I was wearing nothing but a big red cape (like the cape I have in WoW). It was very amusing.
Anyway. In honour of naked duelling....
If you are one of the first FIVE people to comment in this posting I will create something for you. It will be something small, personal, and made or put together by me. You must be on my friends list to participate. It would help if we actually comment in each other's journals, since that makes it easier to think of something to make. But as long as you're on my friends list, you can participate.
Now here are the catches:
1. You may need to answer a few questions if I don't know you all that well
2. It may be mailed to you OR it could be posted in my journal or privately emailed depending on what I decide is most appropriate for you
3. I make no guarantees that you will like it (but I won't send out something that I myself am not satisfied with - I won't send it if *I* don't like it)
4. I get as much time as I need. I promise you'll eventually get something - but creativity comes in spurts, so I can't promise you'll get them right away.
5. And MOST important: If you decide to have me make you something then you have no obligation whatsoever to post the same offer in your own journal.
And yes, my icon does indeed depict a panda bum. It will duel you. In the snow.
