I'm too tired to type in paragraphs

- I learnt to pronounce French Rs like a French person.
- We learnt how to do voiced and voiceless palatal, velar and uvular fricatives in Phonetics. As a result...
- Much of the Phonetics tutorial alternated between sounding like a cat hissing and a cat hacking up a furball.
- I skipped Karate to get started on an assignment. Felt bad about it.
- In Russian Revolutions, the hot Russian tutor gave half the lecture in a very sexy Russian accent. I couldn't help but smile.
- Didn't arrive home until 8pm. So tired.
Last Friday, Saturday, Sunday:
- I met my LJ xenite friends Ephie (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
warrior_cat) and Penny (penstarr) for the first time. Also met Penny's friends, Nat and Jess.
- I was terribly nervous before meeting Ephie and Penny but everything went just fine.
- I spent 2 hours watching Finding Nemo on a Sony flatscreen TV in the middle of Melbourne Central with Ephie while waiting for Penny to arrive.
- Just as Penny arrived, we were pounced upon by a random, rabid anti-war activist who accused us of being born again Christians. o.O
- We went to Ephie's place and watched The Biggest Loser because Pennyis in love with Jillian Michaels is not gay.

- On Saturday, we went to Luna park.
- Public transport was terribly crowded because of the Commonwealth Games.
- Ephie dressed up as Xena which involved wearing a bra on the outside (as a breastplate) and did crazy things around Melbourne while we filmed her.
- People stared at her and took pictures.
- I concluded that Ephie is very brave.

- Dracula's is the BEST RESTAURANT EVER.
- It's a comedy cabaret restaurant which had amazing atmosphere and entertained us thoroughly for over 4 hours.
- I think my favorite was Japanese RMIT students, the Matrix ping pong, the Eastern European female wrestler and the pole dancing (!), but there was so much random funny little snippets scattered throughout.
- The whole thing was just brilliant.

- My version of "The Poke":
Dimentia: *comes over to clear away our dessert plates* Can I get you anything else, darlings?
Me: I think you're really hot.
Dimentia: What?
Me: *louder* I think you're really hot!
Dimentia: *looks bemused and possibly blushes* You're just saying that 'cos you're drunk.
Me: Nope, I thought you were hot before I was drunk. :-D
Dimentia: Aww, you're sweet. But it's the corset... it pushes everything out the top.
Someone else, possibly Penny: *says something that I don't hear because close proximity to Dimentia has addled my senses*
Dimentia: *says something about corsets that I can no longer remember* ... the plastic ones are no good. It has to be metal... and hard.
Me: *reaches out finger tentatively, makes a small detour around her arm, pokes her corset right under her boobs*
Jess/Nat: OMG YOU JUST TOUCHED HER TITS!
Penny: Shhhhh.

- On Sunday, we went to a Melbourne xenite gathering in Weribee.
- I've never been in a room with so many xenites. Hell, I didn't know Melbourne /had/ this many xenites.
- We watched lots of videos.
- There was the cutest little kitten there. SO CUTE.
- Afterwards, we had dinner at KFC.
- Ephie and I shared an Xtreme meal. I still can't remember the name of that other meal deal, and it's bugging me.
- Then we went to The Glass House aka Girl Bar and drank stuff, and listened to amusing karaoke.

I'm too tired now to even type in dot points so I will now talk in one long continuous stream with barely any punctuation because I've just finished half of my Histories of Sexualities reading and my brain is leaking out of my left ear not that the reading was particularly hard but because I need sleep really really badly but anyway I just wanna finish up by saying thatpenstarr and warrior_cat ROCK and are AWESOME PEOPLE and so fun to be around and yay for LJ and finally meeting internet friends who didn't turn out to be evil stalkers from Transylvania after all. *pant pant*
And now I shall sleep.
