Dreams = parallel universes?

Omg, Zhuangzi! I'm writing a paper on that right now actually. You've heard of the Zhuangzi right? It was a hugely influencial text on Chinese Buddhism, and it's famous for the part where Zhuangzi has a dream about being a butterfly, and then wonders which is real. Is he a man dreaming he's a butterfly? Or a butterfly dreaming he's a man?

I have heard of the butterfly dream guy, but didn't know his name was Zhuangzi.

Ha, a thousand years ago, I might have become an famous scholar too! But instead my mind goes down the track of "weird sex dreams" instead of something more poetic like butterflies. And I guess LJ isn't really the medium of enlightenment.
