Ducklings, lesbian kisses, leather jackets and toothbrushes

Awwwwwww!  I was watching RSPCA Animal Rescue and there were these totally adorable trapped ducklings.  And as the rescue guy was releasing them, he said "Live long and prosper, little ones".  Lol, Star Trek reference!  And ducklings!  It's too cute.

The reason I'm suddenly watching TV is because I watched Home and Away (an Australian soap opera) today just for the lesbian kiss, to see if they would actually show it (and they did!) That would make it the second time I've seen a lesbian kiss on that show.  And I wasn't even looking out for it the first time.  This is entirely weird because I've tuned in all of two times this year, once by accident, and both times there were girls randomly kissing.  I think I just attract teh ghei, even on TV.

Speaking of teh ghei...


I bought the jacket today while I was out shopping for work clothes.  Obviously, this jacket isn't for work, so I can't really justify spending $300 on it, except that it's really hot.

And just in case you guys get the mistaken notion that I might actually be cool or something, here's the dorkiest picture of me you'll see for a while (don't laugh):


That's right.  Me in full Star Trek Voyager uniform!  Too bad I forgot to pose with my "Borg Encounter" thermos.  The really sad thing though is that, altogether, the Star Trek outfit actually cost as much as the leather jacket.  -.-



So while I was reading that article about teh ghei on Home and Away (hey that rhymed), I saw this ad from Centrelink: Centrelink recognises same-sex relationships from 1 July 2009.  They have this rather cute .gif ad promoting it, involving toothbrushes.  That's pretty cool.

Tomorrow (technically today because it's already 5am+), I have to go into YVG for my "induction".  The word "induction" always makes me think of cults and sacrifical virgins.  Anyway.  Wish me luck.

Good Lord, that jacket is hot! I'm talking about the uniform! HAH, NO I'M NOT. That leather looks great on you. I hope those aren't brown shoes, though. ~.^ The uni isn't so bad, though. Is it comfy?

Ghei soaps! I watched an ep of All My Children for a gay kiss (amongst others, *cough*), but not too long after, one half the kiss took off and wound up being some guy's wife on MI-5 (Spooks) and the guy was the asshole from The Four Feathers! UGH.

Speaking of ghei... I finished Mass Effect for X-Box 360 and right before the major mission, there's a sex scene. You can play either a male or female character and either way, there's a triangle involving a woman. So, there was girl on girl! Or, human female on mono-gendered-but-female-looking-alien! It would've been more awesome if my brother hadn't been there to see it.

Remember when I was telling you how my dad would always pop in during the gay parts of Xena? Like, eps and eps would go by and he'd be out in the garage, and the second they take a bath, he passes through? Well, my bro's turning into that with video games. He was there for the scene and last night, showed up just as I was chatting her up on my second playthrough. Getting paranoid!

For some reason, I kinda forget what you look like until the next pic. Weird, right?

You ever notice when Samantha Stosur plays tennis? She knocked out Amelie the other day, but I'll forgive her 'cause of those biceps.

ZOMG, we have had the conversation about the NON-BROWN shoes before. They're red! The uniform is not comfy. The sleeves and turtleneck are too tight, and it's like 100% polyester so I feel like I'm suffocating.

I heard about the gheiness in Mass Effect! Makes me kind of wanna get it, but I fail at finishing console games.

Yay for Home & Away! I've just been youtubing it, I don't think I could stand to watch the whole 25 mins of that show lol. It's good that they ended up showing that kiss, that thing at Fed Square seemed a bit lame.
